Christmas Eve...

So Christmas Eve we ate some more and just hung out with my parents and sister. It was so nice to just relax and eat food.....I probably gained like 5 lbs this weekend.

We got so many things from my parents. There were some favorites. For those if you that know me I hate carpet but I love to vacuum. It all ties into my OCD that I have and cannot seem to get rid of! I asked for a Dyson for the whole family....And of course I got one! Yeah, thank you so much to my mom and dad they are so awesome and I love them so much.

Mike actually got the Dyson...haha. I also got this huge scrapbook set from Costco, I saw it and kept walking because I knew I would want it. Anyway, they read my mind! Thanks again mom and dad!!! I loved everything you bought me.

So Jake was so tired on Christmas Eve. Poor baby was just wanting to fall over and go to sleep. So at 7:45 my dad decided Jake would be able to open a gift every 15 minutes until 8:30 then he could just open them all. He got this cool bus that is like a little play house.....it is the cutest thing. Then he got a rocking horse and he loved it. He clapped and laughed the whole time. he also got a ton of other small toys and some clothes. He is already spoiled rotten!!!

Look at me...

I am so excited to open this! Yeeehaw! Faster Grandpa!
Then there was my husband....he bought me some LAMB perfume by Gwen Stefani and some William Rast Jeans....Yup.....he loves me :) I also got the beautiful necklace I was wearing for Christmas Eve Eve along with another one......LOVE IT! Thanks diddy!! By the way, we weren't suppose to buy one another gifts!!!

I hope Santa brought you all what you wanted!

Christmas Eve, Eve.....

So my family (Marin family) decided we would have our annual Christmas gathering on Christmas Eve, Eve.....Since it was a Sunday and then everyone could go to their in-laws on Christmas Eve. It was truly a day filled with food, fun, food and more food and fun! Almost everyone was there and it was just fun to remember what Christmas really is all about. It is not about the gifts or the food. But it is about being with your family and just realizing how blessed we all are that we are still here to be with one another.

Here are a few photos of Christmas Eve Eve!

We're BACK!!!!

Yes...we are back. Finally, I have updated my page per the request of Mrs. Thompson! I know I have been a complete slacker. But here I am and I am trying to remember all that has gone on in the last month. We'll Jake is now 9 months and a go getter! He is a super fast crawler and wants to take off running but cannot. He has this new thing with his tongue when he makes faces and he has two teeth.....yes I said "two." Also, Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is on the way! I am not even nearly done shopping and it is crazy because I am way behind and need the rush of the holiday last minute shopping. And just so you know in case this doesn't make sense I am watching Grey's Anatomy but this is the only time I have to get this done. Anyhow, Jake eats 3 containers of food at each feeding and doesn't gain a pound? How is that? I think he is just one active little man. Ummmm, I am thinking what else I have to say. Jake has also learned to finally clap his hands together and not just the tops and bottoms of them. Well here are some photos that I have not posted and should have because I am a complete slacker!!! Enjoy!

Trick Or Treat!!!

So it was definitely a Treat to take Jake out for his first Halloween and get him all dressed up in his doggy outfit. He was so cute....although he wouldn't let me paint his nose black. When I would try to do it he would shake his head no. It was so funny. He has learned to shake his head no a lot. We had fun just taking him to a few neighbors houses and then Grandma came over and sat with us to hand out candy. Jake got a kick out of all the kids. He was screaming because he was trying ot get their attention it was so fun. Then he was pooped and crashed hard. Poor guy, it was such a big day for him but it was all worth it.

7 Random Things About Jessica

Thanks Steph for tagging me...haha. Actually, I think this is kind of fun!!!

So if you want to know then I suppose you can read on....

1). I am a NEAT freak and hate clutter.......
Most of you already know this about me but I am a complete neat freak. It has been quite the challenge these days with Jake but I am managing pretty well. I clean out my closets about every 6 months or sooner. If I haven't worn it in the last 6 months I probably won't ever wear it. It is the truth. People think I have a ton of clothes until they see my closet. I keep all my shoes in their boxes because I hate them all over the floor. I have a lot of other crazy pet peeves but these are just a few of my neat freak ones.

2). I do not drink coffee.....
That is right, here in the Hoyt House we do not drink coffee. I have been free of my addiction for 7 years. I drank it when I first met Mike, actually I drank 2 cups a day. But Mike hates coffee so I just stopped cold turkey (that was the worst.) But I got through it. I love the smell and have tried to drink it again but it just doesn't taste good to me anymore. Weird.

3). I love sugar......
So Halloween is here is I have candy in my house! Ugggghhh! I am going to finish it off I know it. I do not keep candy in my house or anything sweet because I have the biggest sweet tooth ever. I inherited it from the man below.....my grandpa. I swear I would rather have a big fat chocolate cake instead of real food. That is so bad but that explains why I do not keep it in my house.

4). I cannot eat dairy.....
I am lactose intolerant and those pills do not work for me. So I eat no cheese, ice cream, milk or anything with "whole milk" in it. I can eat chocolate though and it doesn't do anything to me. Don't ask me how I do it because it is just something that is in my life and I do not know even exists anymore. I haven't eaten it since I was 19 and truthfully....I do not like cheese anymore because I tried a small piece and it was sick. Yes, cheese is sick tasting to me. This is why I like to think I stay thin. We all knew if I could eat ice cream.....I would be in trouble.

5). I love my hubby more than I could have ever imagined.......
So you know when you think you know what love is? Well then you actually meet the one person that is meant for you and then you are like..."this is what love is?" Wow! I love my hubby. He is so awesome and I hate spending a minute of my day without him. I am one of those wives that could spend every waking minute with my husband and never be tired of him. I love being with him and wish he was home every day with us. We hope and pray he will be sooner than later and I know he will but just not soon enough. I just hope everyone finds that kind of love we have once in their lifetime because it is truly amazing!!!!!!

6). I love to watch TV.....
I am so addicted to those dumb reality shows and just series of shows. I hate that I am that way because I am so consumed sometimes. But I love the drama and reality that is involved in them. But I think about how much time I waste and what I could actually be doing that is more productive. I like to look at this as my sick addiction!!!

7). I secretly love watching Football...haha
So I am a huge NFL fan and love to watch it. BUT....I have to pretend I hate it or not really pretend but sometimes I do because that is all that is on in my house on Sundays. But before I met Mike....LOVED IT! I guess it was because I watched a game or two and not every game. And it didn't control where I went or what I was doing. Anyway, I still love the game and like to watch it just not every minute of my Sunday! GO NINERS......

So I pretty much tag anyone who reads this....I want an email if you do not have a blog. Or better yet you should create a blog and post it.

Jake's Great Grandparents!

Shhhh, don't repeat this to anyone.....BUT did you know that I (Jessica) am Grandpa Al's favorite granddaughter? No, really I am! haha. But really, I am. And when looking at these photos I think he loves our little Jakey boy too. I just had to post these photos of a visit we made to see Grandma Bell and Grandpa Al. And of course Grandma Bell looks beautiful even when she doesn't feel 100%. And doesn't Grandpa Al pose just like all of us "Marin's"? Funny...

Lookin' good you two!!!
This is a photo of Jake's Great Granny Hoyt when we went to Grand Junction. She was so fond of him....I am not sure I can say he is the favorite.....but I am pretty sure Mikey is her favorite....sorry Shari and Jason. But I know she misses Mikey and we wish we could go see her more often.

Pumpkin Patch.....Missing Grandpa/Dad

So I know it is a little late and we just now took Jake too a little Pumpkin Patch over near our house. It was just a little place where they sell pumpkins. Anyhow, my mom, Christy, Mike, Jake and I went and Grandma bought Jake a little pumpkin and Mommy and Daddy bought a big one. It was so sweet but at the same time we were missing my Dad/Grandpa and wish he could have been with us all. We set Jake in the middle of the pumpkins and he thought it was so funny.....see his faces in his photos. Then we set him near a vampire and he didn't like it too much. It is so fun doing all of these little things with him and see his little faces.

This is kind of fun!
Look at me, I am a big boy!
If you could hear him when he makes this face.
I love to have fun.
This is kind of scary!!!

Costume Test Run......

So here are Jake's Halloween costume photos. Am I bad mommy or what? Nahhh, I want to learn how to take my own photos since I have a great camera for it. I learned hot to use it and I think I pretty much forgot...haha. Anyway, I thought these came out really good. So they are a great test run for his BIG day as a puppy for Halloween. He wasn't sure what to do in it. But I finally found what I needed!!! THE BLACK TIGHTS. If you only knew what a mission it was for me to find them . Anyway, here is my cutie pies costume photos. Can you believe he is already 8 months old? I cannot........how time flies!!!

Hi Mommy!

If you didn't know that new "San Tan Village" opened up this weekend on Greenfield and the 202. It is a great outdoor mall and I love it. I will love it more when all of the stores are finally open. We had a great time with the Jamie, Jack, Katie, Jack and Mikey....YES my hubby was a sport and hung out with the ladies and the kids. And as if we couldn't get enough we went back again the next day! I was on a mission to find some black tights for the Jakester and his costume!

Trip to Tempe Marketplace

So I have been such a slacker at updating our blog. Below are some of our trip to the new Tempe Marketplace. We just shopped around and found a great deal on a new dress for none other than "muah." It is such a Lauren Conrad dress....I was so excited. Now I just need a reason to wear it. Hummmmm, can you say hint, hint to my hubby! I need a date night!
