I know...I know....I am on it!
So I know I have not posted in a while.....a long while. No excuses other than the fact that I am a HUGE slacker.
So let me think where I left off. We had a great New Years and so many good things are in our favor....We have great health, strong marriage, wondeful family, an amazing little boy, a roof over our head, great friends and each other! There are so many things people always say they will get or do for the new year and sometimes forget what they have. I just thought about all I had in 2007 and thought how much better can it really get? I have all I need and life is good. Let's see what is new with Jake? Well he is just about walking. He takes about 6 steps by himself them he plops on the floor and laughs. He opens every single cabinet he gets his little hands on, has this new fascination of opening and closing doors to every room. He fake laughs for no reason or mimics us when we laugh. It is quite funny when he does that. He has officially started to drink our of a sippy cup. He is still not broken into a sippy cup completely but we are working on it by his 1st birthday which is next month. And lastly, we had a little incident with Scooter. He was a little agressive towards Jake and nipped at his face, yup I said it his face. We will just stop there and say Scooter was just about to be sent away for good. He is getting once more chance and then he is gone. And let's see what else has been going on....Did I mention I turned 30? Yeah, well I turned 30 on the 20th. I was really excited to turn 30 and I am so happy to start a new decade with Jake and Mike in my life. It is an amazing journey that I am so happy to begin. I didn't do anything exciting because I just wanted to be with my hubby and son. So I went to the spa with some friends for a friends going away/my birthday. Then that evening we went for some dessert at Shabu Fondue (never doing that again) and then a few cocktails. It was great to just hang out and do nothing. Sunday.....well I wanted to watch the games so we decided to stay home and actually I slept for a few hours. I was feeling really exhausted (old age setting in.) Then Monday we celebrated with my family! My mom made me spaghetti....she makes the best spaghetti! YUMMY! AND my honey bought me a cake from Roberts Catering.....it was oh so delicious! That was my favorite part because I thought I didn't get a cake!!! I think that is about all that is going on that I can remember right now!

Christmas Eve...
So Christmas Eve we ate some more and just hung out with my parents and sister. It was so nice to just relax and eat food.....I probably gained like 5 lbs this weekend.
We got so many things from my parents. There were some favorites. For those if you that know me I hate carpet but I love to vacuum. It all ties into my OCD that I have and cannot seem to get rid of! I asked for a Dyson for the whole family....And of course I got one! Yeah, thank you so much to my mom and dad they are so awesome and I love them so much.
Mike actually got the Dyson...haha. I also got this huge scrapbook set from Costco, I saw it and kept walking because I knew I would want it. Anyway, they read my mind! Thanks again mom and dad!!! I loved everything you bought me. So Jake was so tired on Christmas Eve. Poor baby was just wanting to fall over and go to sleep. So at 7:45 my dad decided Jake would be able to open a gift every 15 minutes until 8:30 then he could just open them all. He got this cool bus that is like a little play house.....it is the cutest thing. Then he got a rocking horse and he loved it. He clapped and laughed the whole time. he also got a ton of other small toys and some clothes. He is already spoiled rotten!!!

I hope Santa brought you all what you wanted!

Christmas Eve, Eve.....
So my family (Marin family) decided we would have our annual Christmas gathering on Christmas Eve, Eve.....Since it was a Sunday and then everyone could go to their in-laws on Christmas Eve. It was truly a day filled with food, fun, food and more food and fun! Almost everyone was there and it was just fun to remember what Christmas really is all about. It is not about the gifts or the food. But it is about being with your family and just realizing how blessed we all are that we are still here to be with one another.
Here are a few photos of Christmas Eve Eve!

We're BACK!!!!
Yes...we are back. Finally, I have updated my page per the request of Mrs. Thompson! I know I have been a complete slacker. But here I am and I am trying to remember all that has gone on in the last month. We'll Jake is now 9 months and a go getter! He is a super fast crawler and wants to take off running but cannot. He has this new thing with his tongue when he makes faces and he has two teeth.....yes I said "two." Also, Thanksgiving has passed and Christmas is on the way! I am not even nearly done shopping and it is crazy because I am way behind and need the rush of the holiday last minute shopping. And just so you know in case this doesn't make sense I am watching Grey's Anatomy but this is the only time I have to get this done. Anyhow, Jake eats 3 containers of food at each feeding and doesn't gain a pound? How is that? I think he is just one active little man. Ummmm, I am thinking what else I have to say. Jake has also learned to finally clap his hands together and not just the tops and bottoms of them. Well here are some photos that I have not posted and should have because I am a complete slacker!!! Enjoy!
