So I know I have not posted in a while.....a long while. No excuses other than the fact that I am a HUGE slacker.
So let me think where I left off. We had a great New Years and so many good things are in our favor....We have great health, strong marriage, wondeful family, an amazing little boy, a roof over our head, great friends and each other! There are so many things people always say they will get or do for the new year and sometimes forget what they have. I just thought about all I had in 2007 and thought how much better can it really get? I have all I need and life is good. Let's see what is new with Jake? Well he is just about walking. He takes about 6 steps by himself them he plops on the floor and laughs. He opens every single cabinet he gets his little hands on, has this new fascination of opening and closing doors to every room. He fake laughs for no reason or mimics us when we laugh. It is quite funny when he does that. He has officially started to drink our of a sippy cup. He is still not broken into a sippy cup completely but we are working on it by his 1st birthday which is next month. And lastly, we had a little incident with Scooter. He was a little agressive towards Jake and nipped at his face, yup I said it his face. We will just stop there and say Scooter was just about to be sent away for good. He is getting once more chance and then he is gone. And let's see what else has been going on....Did I mention I turned 30? Yeah, well I turned 30 on the 20th. I was really excited to turn 30 and I am so happy to start a new decade with Jake and Mike in my life. It is an amazing journey that I am so happy to begin. I didn't do anything exciting because I just wanted to be with my hubby and son. So I went to the spa with some friends for a friends going away/my birthday. Then that evening we went for some dessert at Shabu Fondue (never doing that again) and then a few cocktails. It was great to just hang out and do nothing. Sunday.....well I wanted to watch the games so we decided to stay home and actually I slept for a few hours. I was feeling really exhausted (old age setting in.) Then Monday we celebrated with my family! My mom made me spaghetti....she makes the best spaghetti! YUMMY! AND my honey bought me a cake from Roberts Catering.....it was oh so delicious! That was my favorite part because I thought I didn't get a cake!!! I think that is about all that is going on that I can remember right now!
